Legal authorities have announced that a former doctor stands accused of performing assaults involving 38 victims who were patients.
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous sexual offences – comprising some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor said, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
These allegations follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
